Learn how to make your Virtual Users even more realistic thanks to Logic Actions such as the IF condition.

This OctoPerf tutorial guides you through the following steps:

  1. Identify a success criteria for the login,
  2. Use a Regex to extract this success criteria,
  3. Use a IF logic action to condition the rest of the script to a successful login,
  4. Validate the Virtual User.

If you want to exercise with this tutorial, here is a JMX export of the resulting virtual user This way you’ll be able to import it in OctoPerf as a JMeter script and compare to what you’ve done. You will also need this CSV file to make it work properly.

Notes:

More advanced examples of IF conditions are available in our documentation.
